About Us 

Mouth Magazine is a student-led publication group that seeks to highlight writing and text-focused work created by undergraduates at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. We operate out of the Writing Program with the intention and hopes of fostering a space that celebrates all forms of writing as art.

In addition to organizing readings and workshop events, Mouth announces a call for writing submissions every semester, with little to no limitations beyond requiring the inclusion of text. We accept prose, poetry, comics, and hybrid work. At the end of each period, accepted submissions are published in the physical edition of our magazine. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as of Fall 2020, Mouth Magazine is moving all published work online.
